Policy Governing Accessory Dwelling Units and Junior Accessory Dwelling Units

The Board of Directors is considering the adoption of the policy governing accessory dwelling units (ADU) and junior accessory dwelling units (JADU).

The purpose of the proposed policy is to provide Association Members with established criteria when considering the implementation of a ADU or JADU on their property.

This document has already been reviewed by the Board, the Architectural Control Committee, and the Association’s legal counsel and discussed in the Open Session Board Meetings on June 17th, 2021, and August 19, 2021.

California Civil Code requires a Board of Directors to give Association Members at least twenty-eight (28) days’ notice of any proposed policy and/or guideline adoption they are considering.
