This project will provide increased safety to crossings by installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs), high-visibility crosswalks, advanced yield markings and curb ramps at four school locations. These improvements will be installed at crossings at W. E. Mitchell Middle School, Kinney High School, Robert J. McGarvey Elementary School, and Sunrise Elementary School. The project will begin in Summer 2025 and be complete in Fall 2025.

This project will rehabilitate Sunrise Boulevard from White Rock Road to Douglas Road by overlaying the existing pavement, improving median landscaping, installing ADA-compliant curb ramps and upgrading drainage facilities. Construction began in August 2024 and will be completed in Summer 2025.

This project will widen Sunrise Boulevard to four lanes from Kiefer Boulevard to State Route 16 (Jackson Highway) and construct intersection improvements at Sunrise Boulevard and Jackson Highway. This project is currently under design.
